Terms and Conditions – Henshaw Barn

Should you wish to book a room/s with us, we would ask for either a 50% deposit (payable within 7 days of booking), with remainder payable on arrival, or payment in full in advance of your stay.
Upon payment we will confirm your booking either by post or email.
Both the 50% deposit or full payment – made at the time of booking – are fully refundable should you cancel – providing we have at least 5 days notice.
For cancellations made within 5 days of arrival, guests will be responsible for payment in full – unless we can re-let the room.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept credit/debit cards, but there are ATM machines close to hand in Haydon Bridge and Haltwhistle. Payment can be made either in cash, by cheque(cheques payable to Pauline Ellis) by bank transfer, or through PayPal. (Please note – the use of PayPal requires a 5% surcharge to cover administrative costs.)
Guests are most welcome from 4.30pm onwards. Alternative times can be arranged if required. We would ask that guests vacate their rooms by 10am at the end of their stay.
For guests without transport we are willing to pick up and drop off (within reason!).
Hearty and wholesome breakfasts are served between 8am and 9am…earlier if required. Substantial packed lunches and evening meals can be provided by prior arrangement.

9. All guests are welcome to share our lovely south west facing garden with its varied seating and beautiful views.

10. We share our home with 2 friendly, affectionate setters, which means we are unable to accommodate additional pets…regrettably.

11. We would remind guests that we are completely non-smoking indoors but that we have no objection to guests smoking outside should they so wish.
