To avoid the ‘set meal’ ANY choice may be made from Starters and Desserts, but it would be most helpful if guests could choose the SAME main course. THANK YOU.
STARTERS:
- Hearty Red Lentil & Vegetable Soup, topped with croutons & served with crusty bread.
- Mackerel Rillettes, topped with finely sliced spring onion & served with toasted sourdough, watercress & radishes.
- Pork, pistachio & apricot Terrine, served with homemade green tomato chutney & crostini toasts.
- Shredded Duck, oven baked and wrapped in filo pastry, with sliced spring onions, and a spiced plum sauce.
MAINS:
- Spring Lamb Stew, with carrots, baby turnips, sliced leeks and sugar snap peas, served with creamy mash.
- Seared Chicken Breast, braised with garlic, paprika, sundried tomatoes, crème fraiche and shredded spinach, served with red rice.
- Fennel encrusted Salmon, with green beans and mangetout, served with Moroccan style couscous.
- Country Pheasant Breast, braised with shallots, mushrooms, tarragon and coarse grain mustard, served with buttered linguini.
DESSERTS:
- Crème Brulee, with citrus cream and homemade shortbread biscuits
- Brioche Bread and Butter Pudding, with homemade marmalade and pouring cream.
- Crushed mixed Berry dessert, layered with Greek Yoghurt and crème fraiche, and decorated with fruit, and flaked almonds.
- Rhubarb and Apple Crumble, with an Oat and Almond topping & served with EITHER custard OR pouring cream OR vanilla ice cream.
- A choice of lovely local cheeses – with crusty bread, crackers, & rustic red onion chutney..
